Music Monday: nervous & other things

Link to the playlist here.

Feels:

The stormy weather that we got this weekend got me feeling a certain kind of way, as did my assignments, my anxiety, and other things like you. I felt nervous a lot of the time: nervous that I upset you, nervous that I wouldn’t be able to complete my assignment in time, nervous that something terrible would happen to my loved ones during this storm, nervous that you would suddenly turn away from me. I’m nervous a lot of the time, but I’m working on it.

Tracks:

“Nervous” | Gavin James – Got super obsessed with this track this week, and in love with his voice. Emotional wreck in 3 minutes.

“December: Somedays” | Tim Myers – One of my favourite tracks off of his album “The Year”. Myers is also one of the founding members of OneRepublic – now you know.

“Latch” | Sam Smith – A voice like silk, lyrics that crush you. It’s a win-win, or a lose-lose if you’re uber emotional like me.

“Mess is Mine” | Vance Joy – Accurate.

“Who Needs Air” | The Classic Crime – This band got me through my first wave of depression/anxiety in high school, and this was the very first song of theirs that I heard. Instantly fell in love with the rawness of the lyrics.

“Ordinary” | Copeland – Thank you to Songza for introducing me to what is now one of my favourite music groups. This is the first song that I was exposed to by Copeland and I never looked back. Also choked that I won’t be going to see them in Seattle in November.
